However, my critique partners write in other genres, so I'm 'forced' to go out of my comfort zone.<br /><br />What have I learned from this? But usually the stuff I read does end up happily--the bad guys are punished. I have a pretty high tolerance for that kind of stuff. If you felt that way about the first book, I'd stay clear of the second book, for sure. But, I agree, great pacing on this book and those chapter hooks...? Wow. The best. Regarding the movie... I was nervous about the hand held camera, but it didn't bother me. (And they ALWAYS bother me.) I'm not even sure why. (I know some people had a problem with it, though.) I still enjoyed it.
