Then we realize there is no one size fits all answer when it comes to writing. Not even when it comes to things like grammar and punctuation. It's freeing but it's also the moment you realize there is no safety net.Josh Lanyonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11944091956589831656noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7545210782126483136.post-11124303449803963202011-10-14T09:13:09.794-07:002011-10-14T09:13:09.794-07:00That's my story a lot of the time too, Toni! It's stifling. The only book on writing I devoured is Orson Scott Card's "How to Write Science Fiction & Fantasy". It's 20 years old now, but at the time, it was a revelation. Not only that, it introduced me to Octavia Butler, as Card used her "Wild Seed" to show examples of what he meant.Marcelle Dubéhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18164965676254630066noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7545210782126483136.post-57936356402491836722011-10-14T08:51:47.332-07:002011-10-14T08:51:47.332-07:00Sometimes I have to stall before I can start fresh...Sometimes I have to stall before I can start fresh :) That's my story and I'm sticking to it. I haven’t heard of a couple of these. I write suspense and thriller and there aren’t so many helpful books out there. I do use stories from the NYT and Washington Post. There is also a new book out Top Secret America I will be looking into .Ritahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09054306874904898496noreply@blogger.com
